Our diaries can be pretty busy especially coming into the season of spring. We find scheduling, managing and planning ahead are the best ways to work. Organisation is key!
Generally our diaries are filled with agent and client quotes as well as styling installations for properties that are about to be listed on the market. Once jobs and quotes have been confirmed it is then written into our team diary in the office. Areas we cover are Southern Highlands, Illawarra, Macarthur and Sydney. It can be tricky at times doing styling installations and quotes on opposite sides of Sydney, its always best to call us and schedule in your quote or styling date as soon as possible.
We always start our day with a good cup of coffee in our hand and we get straight into our emails and messages from agents, clients and suppliers. We normally schedule in styling installs for late morning to midday as we find this leaves us with a good time frame for our team to style your home. Our transport truck arrives early morning ready to load our furniture and accessories. We love a good list and we use them regularly in the office and on site. We like to tick off all the items once they're loaded on the truck, to ensure that nothing has been forgotten. We don't want to find ourselves arriving on a job and realising there was something forgotten off the truck especially if it’s a hero piece. Once everything has been loaded onto the truck we load up the van with lamps shades and our styling tools including our steamer, light bulbs, and hanging materials for hanging our artworks and mirrors on your walls.
Once we arrive on site it’s all hands on deck. We unload the truck and unpack accessories including cushions and art. Furniture pieces are placed in position and are ready to be styled. Once everything has been unpacked and positioned the truck leaves and this is when the magic happens. Cushions are chopped, throws are delicately draped over beds, art is measured and hung, coffee table books are stacked and lush greenery is arranged. Once we’re happy with our final transformation it’s lights, camera, action - taking images on our phones for publishing onto our social media pages. Once a styling install has been completed we head back to our office/ warehouse and we start selecting furniture and accessories for upcoming installations. We look at the quote to see what is needed and view images of the home so we can make our selections. We always ensure our furniture and accessories are selected atleast a few days prior to the install, and then packed the day before we style to ensure a smooth transition from our warehouse to the home. Pack, Unpack, Style and Repeat !!
